After DATC Graduation, It's Time to "Pound the Pavement"

2013.04.26_datcblogWe are so proud of the nine graduates of Session 8! Completing the DATC Program is not an easy feat. It takes dedication and perseverance. It takes a special person who's willing to do the extra legwork to schedule and complete clinical hours. It takes sacrifice - giving up 12 Saturdays of fun and family time to focus on the new skills and benchmarks required to graduate with a DA I certification.

And, it doesn't end at graduation. Sure, there aren't anymore classes associated with a DA I certification, but remember, the real goal is starting a new career within the dental assistant profession. Your DA I certification is the first step to finding a new job!

At Dental Assistant Training Centers, we are dedicated to doing all that we can to help you find the right placement!

  • We offer a training course that encourages clinical hours in different dental specialities, so that you can get a feel for what different dental offices are like.
  • We require you to practice characteristics that will improve your resume: professionalism, kindness, being aware of and adhering to office regulations and standard practices, etc...
  • And we offer a private login to our Job Board, where we post great, local opportunities for dental assistant positions.
  • In fact, in addition, we also keep you up to date of local volunteer opportunities where you can make a real difference in the community and stand out to dental professionals already in the business who are also volunteering their time.

We understand how important it is to get a return on your investment and are ready to support you in as many ways as possible. But, you know what we can't do?

  • Make you schedule time to volunteer.
  • Complete your resume with the latest information.
  • Turn in applications for you.

These are the kinds of things that are necessary for you to find your dream job within the dental field; and we know that you can do it! As a graduate of the DATC Program, there is no one else better prepared to step into dental assisting position and start making a positive impact! We believe in you - and you should believe in you too!

Remember that the best time to show off your new abilities are when your skills are fresh! Keep in touch with DATC and make sure you login each week to see the updates to the Job Board. Commit to apply to positions no matter what!

Remember that each interview is a chance to shine, and also to learn more about how dental offices operate.
