DATC Spring 2025

Spring 2025 Sessions

DATC is pleased to host two (2) sessions in Spring 2025.

These sessions will offer a hybrid experience. This provides students with both virtual classes and in-person clinical experience.

We know and value how the DATC Program helps to change lives, giving students the opportunity to learn new skills and enter the dental industry with grace and confidence.

Hybrid Experience

Virtual Classes

Virtual classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:30p to 8:45p with a 15 minute break. These are live, online 2 hour lectures. Attendance with camera on is required.

In-Person Clinical Experience

In-Person Clinicals will be offered approximately every three (3) to four (4) weeks with a focus on Fridays/Saturdays from 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In-Person Clinicals for Competency Demonstration and Development are held at our new in-person training location — 88 Vilcom Center Drive, Suite 190 in Chapel Hill, NC.

Orientation

Orientation is in-person at the office in Chapel Hill, NC on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 3pm.

How To Apply

The application process includes creating an account in order to login to the DATC Online Portal.

Click on the “DATC Learning” button at the top of this page. You can also click here, or just go to http://learning.datcinc.com/.

Click on the “Apply now!” button underneath the heading: “Is this your first time here? Click Apply Now to register for an account.”

Enter the information required on the sign up form.

  • Username
  • Password
  • Email address
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • City/Town
  • Country
  • Mobile Phone

Click the “Create my new account” button.

Our system will send you an email to the address you provided to confirm your registration. 

*If you don’t see it in your Inbox, please check your Spam folder.

Follow the directions in the email to confirm your registration, and once your registration is confirmed, click “Continue.” You’ll be redirected to the Home page of the DATC learning platform.

Just under the heading “Available courses,” you’ll see a link for the 2025 Application. Click on that link and then click on the “Enroll me” button. You will be redirected to the initial course outline, 2025 Application for Admission.

From this page, you will be able to complete the following steps to apply to the program:

Step 1. Complete Application for Admission

  • Click on the hyperlink
  • Click on the “Answer the questions” button
  • Complete the form and you must answer all the required fields (any that have a red * beside the number)
  • When complete, click the “Submit questionnaire” button

As a part of your application process, please make sure you include a brief essay.

And also have your official transcripts from high school or college (or GED) sent to the DATC Program Director, Dr. Karen Barwick at kdbdds@datcinc.com, or you can upload them to the learning portal.

Step 2. Pay your application fee and upload confirmation of payment.

  • Click on the hyperlink: Payment Confirmation Upload
  • Follow the directions provided, depending on how you want to pay your application fee
  • When complete, click the “Add submission” button

When you have completed Step 1 and 2, you have officially submitted your DATC application. 

You’ll also find another email from the DATC learning platform with an invitation to update your profile.

Visit http://learning.datcinc.com/ anytime you’d like to log back into the DATC learning platform. When you do, you’ll have a Dashboard layout.

Next Steps

It takes a few days to review and process your DATC application. 

Once everything is completed, you will receive a letter regarding acceptance status.

If accepted, you will also receive an Enrollment Agreement that is to be completed and returned along with a $1250.00 deposit. This holds your spot in the class.

Tuition Details

Total tuition is $3,355. This includes books, supplies, CPR certifications, PPE (personal protective equipment) for clinical use and multiple instruments* for use during training. 

Safety glasses and scrubs are not included, however, you may wear the same scrubs every clinical session and there is no requirement as to the color.

*These instruments remain the property of DATC and must be returned prior to receipt of your completion certificates.

You may pay the tuition in the following ways: 

1) Pay your $1,250 deposit when returning your completed Enrollment Agreement, then the remaining $2,105 on or before Orientation.

2) Pay your $1,250 deposit when returning your completed Enrollment Agreement, then $425 on or before Orientation. The remaining $1,680 may be paid in full at any time on or before the first day of class.

3) Pay your $1,250 deposit when returning your completed Enrollment Agreement, then $425 on or before Orientation. The remaining $1,680 may be paid in 6 installments of $280. This payment agreement must be paid in full on or before March 22, 2024.

Graduation

Keep In Mind

If you’re serious about attending DATC, our recommendation is that you apply ASAP. Class size is limited. There’s a maximum of 12 students per session. We do that so that each student can have individualized attention from instructors.

The DATC Program is rigorous. We offer you the chance to learn all the skills you need to succeed as a dental assistant. In addition, we share the knowledge and characteristics you need to present yourself as the best candidate for any entry level dental position you chose.
